About Gary

I bring a unique combination of business leadership, community service, mentoring, and practical AI experience to my classes.

I spent 30 years as a Worldwide Manager with a Fortune 200 company, working in global sales, operations, and organizational leadership. Today, I serve as Board Chair of Customized Options, a nonprofit supporting autistic and neurodiverse adults, and I have more than 30 years of experience mentoring people in their careers and professional development.

I’ve completed 14 AI certifications and professional learning programs covering prompt engineering, generative AI, AI systems, responsible AI, and the practical application of AI in business and everyday life.

But I’m not here to teach computer science. I’m here to help everyday people understand AI, use it effectively, understand its limitations and risks, and make informed decisions about how they want it to fit into their lives.

As a senior myself, I see tremendous opportunities for 570 Coulee members to expand their skills, keep learning, and discover new worlds through this rapidly changing technology.

I’m currently developing and teaching community-based AI education programs in partnership with the River Falls Public Library, Hudson Public Library, New Richmond Library, and First Presbyterian Church of Hudson.

My goal is simple: to make AI understandable, useful, safe, and accessible—especially for people who sometimes feel that technology is moving faster than they are.
